The Board of Management of Munich-based Hydrogen Rise AG, Dr.-Ing. Bernd Wiemann, together with Dr. Hussain al Salmi, CEO of Oman Educational Services, signed the Letter of Intent to establish the first Omani company of a future hydrogen economy.

The company’s objective is the production and marketing of “clean hydrogen”, i.e. emission-free produced hydrogen as an energy carrier and as a starting material for various industrial and petrochemical applications.

Hydrogen Rise Oman LLC is a joint venture between Hydrogen Rise AG, a German company that has been involved in the transformation of the energy industry in Oman for years, and the Omani Oman Educational Services LLC.

For Bernd Wiemann, Chairman of the Board of Directors, this is an important step towards economic implementation after several years of commitment and the initiation and implementation of the “Oman Hydrogen Initiative” and the “1st Oman Hydrogen Symposium”. “We are already intensively involved in project development for the large-scale industrial use of “Clean Hydrogen” and are shaping this with important interest groups in Oman.”, he states.
